Booking and cancellation
Appointments can be booked online via the booking link on this site, or by contacting the practice directly. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or change. Late cancellations (under 24 hours) and missed appointments may be charged to compensate the clinician's reserved time.
Clinical scope
Care is delivered by podiatrists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). All treatment follows a thorough assessment, including a vascular and neurological screen where relevant. We reserve the right to decline any treatment where it is not clinically indicated, not in your best interest, or unsafe given your medical history, and we will refer you to your GP, a diabetic foot service, an A&E department, or a relevant specialist where the presentation requires care outside the scope of podiatry — including onward referral for conditions such as bunions that may need orthopaedic surgery.
Consent
Verbal informed consent is obtained for every assessment and treatment. For procedures carrying material risk — in particular nail surgery under local anaesthetic — written informed consent is taken beforehand, covering the technique, the use of local anaesthetic and phenol, expected outcomes, healing time, possible complications such as infection or regrowth, and the aftercare plan. You may withdraw consent and end any treatment at any time without explanation. Clinical photographs are only taken with your separate written consent.
Records and follow-up
You are entitled to a written summary of your assessment, working diagnosis, and treatment plan. Where a procedure is performed you receive written aftercare instructions and any follow-up or redressing appointments needed. Discharge happens by mutual agreement once the problem is resolved or stably managed.
Liability
All clinicians carry full professional indemnity insurance. Adverse responses to treatment, while uncommon, can occur — we discuss the relevant risks with you before any technique we believe carries material risk in your specific case.
