Assessment
A full history and a thorough examination of the skin, nails, circulation and, where relevant, your gait. You leave with a working diagnosis you understand and a plan agreed with you, not handed to you.
Emergency and same-day podiatry in Canary Wharf, London for acute foot and toenail problems that cannot wait: a painful ingrown or infected toenail, a suspected fracture, a new wound, or a spreading infection, seen quickly by an HCPC-registered podiatrist.
The short answer
Your initial consultation covers a full history and a thorough examination of the skin, nails, circulation and, where relevant, the way you walk. We explain what we find in plain English and agree a working diagnosis with you.
Where it is safe to do so, treatment starts the same day, and you leave understanding the plan and the options in front of you.
On-site X-ray and MRI mean a suspected fracture can be imaged and diagnosed the same day, rather than after weeks of waiting for a scan elsewhere.
An acutely ingrown or infected toenail can be relieved on the day, with medication started promptly where a prescriber judges it appropriate.
We clean and dress wounds, assess for infection, and refer urgently where a foot infection looks severe or limb-threatening.
Where the cause is not obvious, a focused assessment and same-day imaging get you a diagnosis quickly instead of guesswork.
We triage realistically. If your problem needs A&E, orthopaedics or your GP, we tell you clearly and refer you on the same day.
Christine is the feet whisperer, she is marvellous! I should have gone to her before I actually did. If you have any issues with your feet, do not hesitate — book an appointment to see her. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience with Hinson the podiatrist — extremely patient and thorough in explaining the different treatment options. I really appreciated how professional and reassuring he was throughout the appointment.

You can self-refer and book online, with no GP referral needed. Many patients claim treatment back through private health insurance: cover varies by policy, and some insurers ask for a GP or consultant referral first, so please check your plan before booking.
Everything starts with an accurate diagnosis. We find what is really causing the problem, treat it, and help you keep it from coming back, so you can stand, walk and train on comfortable feet.

The care your foot problem actually needs, from painless skin and nail work to nail surgery under local anaesthetic, using sterile technique. Where a procedure carries real risk, we talk you through it and take consent first.
Where it helps, we draw on on-site MRI and X-ray, custom orthotics made in our own lab, and treatments such as laser and shockwave, so the right tool is matched to the right problem rather than a one-size-fits-all fix.
We address the underlying cause, footwear, pressure or load, so the problem is less likely to return, and offer routine reviews and medical pedicures so your feet are looked after before there is a problem, not only once there is one.
"I wish I had known about you sooner." We hear it constantly. Feet are easy to ignore until they hurt, so we treat podiatry the way a dentist treats teeth: a regular check and a little maintenance keeps small problems from becoming big ones.

FAQ
Often yes. We keep urgent slots at both London clinics and aim to see acute problems the same week, frequently the same day. Message us on WhatsApp or call first, because sending a photo helps us judge how urgent your problem is and get you seen as quickly as possible.
Sudden severe foot pain, a suspected broken toe or foot, a painful infected or ingrown toenail, a new wound or ulcer, or a spreading skin infection. If you feel unwell with a fever, or a foot is cold, pale or numb, that needs urgent A&E care rather than a podiatrist.
Yes. We have access to on-site X-ray and MRI, so if we suspect a fracture or a deeper injury we can image and diagnose it quickly rather than sending you elsewhere to wait. This is unusual for a podiatry clinic and helps us get you the right treatment sooner.
Where it is clinically appropriate, yes. Members of our team have prescribing rights, so if an infection needs medication we can often start it promptly. We assess carefully first, because not every red or sore toe needs antibiotics, and we refer urgently if an infection looks severe.
Treat it as urgent. In diabetes, redness, swelling, a wound, an ulcer or any colour change in the foot can become serious quickly. Contact us for a same-day review, and if the foot is hot, spreading or black, or you feel unwell, seek emergency care the same day.
