Our story

Canary Wharf Podiatry began in 2021 and has grown across 2 London clinics, part of The Podiatry Group, almost entirely through word of mouth and organic search rather than advertising.

Every pound the practice makes is reinvested into better care: an in-house lab that makes custom insoles, access to on-site imaging, and continued training for the team. The goal has never been to see the most patients, but to give each one an accurate diagnosis and a clear plan.

Evidence-based, founder-led care

Care is led by Clinical Director Christine Yau, who holds a degree in podiatry and a Master's degree with Distinction in Evidence-Based Health Care from the University of Oxford. She leads a team of HCPC-registered podiatrists and members of the Royal College of Podiatry, including Kirsten Oddie, Eleanor Beaumont, Ibrahim Miah and Hinson Kei.

The team meets regularly for clinical case reviews and governance, so your care reflects current evidence rather than one clinician's habit. We are clear about what the research supports and what it does not, which sometimes means telling you a treatment is unlikely to help.

The dentist for your feet

Most patients tell us the same thing: "I wish I'd known about you sooner." Feet are easy to ignore until they hurt, yet many problems are far simpler to treat early. We think of good podiatry like seeing a dentist: a regular check and a little maintenance stops small issues becoming painful ones.

That is why we offer maintenance appointments and medical pedicures alongside treatment, so your feet are looked after before there is a problem, not only once there is one.

Insurance & self-referral

You do not need a GP referral to see us. Podiatrists are first-contact practitioners, so you can self-refer and book directly online or by phone at either clinic.

Many patients claim the cost of treatment back through private health insurance. Cover varies by policy, and some insurers ask for a GP or consultant referral first, so please check your plan before booking. We can provide detailed invoices and procedure information to support a claim with insurers such as WPA, Aviva or Vitality.

Refer a patient

We welcome referrals from GPs, consultants and other healthcare professionals. Our podiatrists manage skin and nail conditions, nail surgery, wound care, and musculoskeletal foot and lower-limb problems, with access to on-site imaging and prescribing.

To refer a patient, contact the practice by phone or email and we will arrange an appointment and report back on our findings and treatment. Where a problem sits outside podiatry, we refer on to dermatology, orthopaedics or vascular services.

For podiatrists

The Podiatry Group is a founder-led group building a network of clinicians who share an evidence-based, patient-first approach to foot health. We are always interested in hearing from podiatrists who would like to grow with us.

If that sounds like you, get in touch through the contact page and tell us a little about your interests and experience.
